Somebody's stalking me!!! Well, kind of!
This guy keeps calling me and sms-ing me for months!!! More than 6 months to be exact! Apart from answering his call once way back in Oct last year, I've never responded to any of his calls or sms-es.
He just never gives up!!
I receive on average 2 - 4 sms-es every week (that's at least 60 sms-es thus far), and he calls like whenever he feels like it.
Aiyo, when people don't answer your calls or don't respond to your smses after a few times, you should very well know it's getting nowhere!
But after 60 unreplied sms-es??!! I just don't get it that he still doesn't get it!!!
And it's just irritating the SHIT out of me!!!!
He's a complete NUTCASE!!!
Help!!! What should I do???
Anyone knows if the telco can help to block off this nutcase from contacting me or sms-ing me???

Comeback Girls
In the past few months, we have seen a few female singers making or trying to make a "comeback" with varying degrees of success.
Kylie
Late last year, Kylie released her 10th studio album, aptly called X, after several years recovering from cancer. Her first comeback single was 2 Hearts, which was kind of a departure from the usual disco/dance Kylie and has thus alienated many fans. Although the album and single hit the top spot in Australia, it didn't do as well in the UK and other countries, but they charted in the Top 10. Her other single releases, Wow (in UK), and In My Arms (Europe), didn't perform too well either, although they did chart to the Top 10 in some places.
Kylie is also releasing X in the U.S, hoping to repeat the success of the singles Can't Get You Out of My Head, and Love at First Sight. In U.S., the lead single will instead be All I See, remixed to feature Mims. It's one of the good songs in the album, I think, and is reminescent of Janet's style. Here's the song, although the official video hasn't been released yet.

A month or so ago, the female artist with the most No. 1 hits in the Billboard Hot 100 (she is only second to the Beatles for the artist with the most No.1s) returned with an unglam single name Touch My Body.... whatever. I think it is just a mediocre song. In its sixth week on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, it peaked at no. 14 last week, and has descended by 1 spot to No. 15 this week. But it can climb up again (given that Mariah has a huge fan base) when the physical single is released in weeks to come, and gains in airplay.
Her new album E=MC2 drops mid April. It would be interesting to see how well this album performs compared to her previous effort, the successful Emancipation of Mimi.
I won't post her YouTube video here, as I can't stand the sight of her in her videos. I mean, I can't stand the sight of her. Sorry!

After poor performances of her last two efforts, Damita Jo and 20 Y.O., Janet improves a little bit in her latest offering, Discipline. The first single was Feedback, peaked at the No.19 spot in the Hot 100 chart, and quickly descended, although she hit the top spot of the Hot 200 for the album.
I thought Feedback was quite a good single with a catchy tune. I find myself humming to it sometimes. Her next is single is probably Rock Wit U, which is a decent addictive midtempo song. Very traditional Janet! Will sure love it!

Paula
It's been 12 years since Paula charted on the Hot 100 with Crazy Cool back in 1996. Her new single, Dance Like There's No Tomorrow, is climbing the charts slowly. Apparently, she's planning to release a new album later this year.
The official video for her new single (below) is just mediocre. In the past, Paula was famous for her dance videos, especially if the song is strong, it does exceptionally well. In this case, the song is just OK, fairly catchy, but I thought as a dancer, she should have seized the opportunity to showcase her dance talent. But she didn't do much even though the title of the song is "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow". Not enough dancing!!! Still, it's good to see her back. You can also see Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell and Ryan Seacrest in her video.... haha!

Well, we've all heard that this woman whose song Hung Up scored No.1 in forty over countries except the U.S., is trying to win back the U.S. fans by going hiphop and all with Timbaland (of course, who else hasn't collaborate with him?) and the hot male singer currently, Justin. Her album, Hard Candy drops end April, and her new single 4 Minutes has recently been released digitally. Of course with such great timing, she'll clash head-on with her "enemy" and fiercest competitor, Mariah.
I've heard 4 Minutes, but I haven't got the YouTube link. (The video is not out yet). Guess, I'll have to blog about it later. I thought it was a decent attempt at hiphop (or whatever style you call it), but I thought she and Justin could have done better. At this stage, I haven't decided if I like it or not. That's the problem with Madonna. She always dishes out something totally different for every album. It is impossible to compare songs or albums. We'll have to wait and see.

Boys From My Alma Mater
I have always wondered what has happened to the boys I fancied way back in school.
Have they gotten married and have kids of their own? How do they look like now? Are they still as attractive as I've remembered them during those teenage years? Have they put on weight like most married men do? Or have they grown even more attractive than before?
I haven't kept in touch with any of them since we left school. Gay boys and straight boys rarely have anything in common to keep friendships going on after school. And after so many years residing in this city, despite my frequent loitering in malls, gyms etc, I've never bumped into any of them.
But if I did, what would I say to them??? Especially, if they asked about my marital status (this is one question you could never get away with!)?
Will I go straight to the point and declare my wayward sexuality?
"Haha, aiyo, not obvious meh that I'm gay? I've always liked you in school! That's why I always sit next to you whenever I can so that I can be close to you".
Or shall I just use the standard reply and downplay that I'm just not yet attached to the right girl?
"No, I haven't found the right girl yet. You know, gotta work hard for money first."
And if they still look yummilicious, would I shamelessly flirt with them?
"Hey, you still look dashing! Which gym do you work out? Maybe we could work out together, you know... " (pinching his hard biceps and touching his chiseled pecs.)
You see, I was such an innocent nerd back in school. Apart from just fancying the boys quietly from afar, I've never really done anything naughty or substantial, unlike my other more legendary/daring peers. There were just so much drama and scandal with the straight boys (yeah, it was an all-boys school, but even though there were girls from the other schools, there were enough scandals within!!). Now it's a lost opportunity for me, and in some sense, I regretted for not having enough fun back then. I should have played a bigger role in those scandals!!
Will it be too much if I say:
"Darling, mmm... mmm.... you still looked so handsome." (Raising my hand to caress his face) Or
"My my, I really miss looking at that bulge down there...." (Staring at his bulge and licking my lips)
Hmm, what would I do?

My Midvalley Men
Yesterday, I got stopped by another guy in Midvalley again. This is probably the 8th time or so that I got stopped while loitering at Midvalley. Well, it only happens when I hang out there on Friday evenings after work... just to de-stress after a hard week at work.
Every time, the guy would usually just come up to me and say something along the lines:
Guy: (With great excitement) "Hey!!! Long time no see!! How are you?"
Me: (Puzzled) "Huh? Do I know you?"
Guy: (Smiling with anticipation) "Yeah, Don't you remember me? I'm James."
Me: (Thinking hard) "Errr.... nope, you've got the wrong person. I don't know anybody who looks like you."
Other guys could be more persistent and say something like:
(Still smiling but apologetically) "I'm sorry, but I totally forgot your name. But I am very certain we've met before."
There are others who put their arms around my shoulders as if I'm their long lost buddy.
And there are one or two (like the one last night) who spoke to me in Mandarin or Cantonese... like I mean, if you knew me, you would know I don't speak Mandarin/Cantonese. Duh!?!!
But once there's this guy who has this Pan-Asia / mix look who approached me when I was walking out of Jusco. Cute! Gorgeous! But I was too quick to brush him aside (At that time, I was probably too fed up with people coming up to me declaring their friendship to me.). It wasn't until I walked away that I figured that perhaps I could have just played on this little game, have a drink with him, and you know ..... get to know him better, and perhaps you know, follow him home....

Sauna Etiquette
In Sex and the City Season 3: Attack of the 5' 10" Woman episode, Charlotte gets upset by nudity in the sauna, although everyone else seems happy and normal to display their bodies. Internet resources noted that saunas are meant to allow you to absorb as much heat and to perspire freely, hence, you are advised to go in nude. For hygiene purposes, a towel should be laid across the bench so that your sweat does not drip onto the wooden bench. This is also to prevent bad smell emanating from the wood finishing in the long term. Out of curiosity, I have also asked my girlfriend what actually goes on in the women's changing room and sauna at the gym. Apparently, quite a few ladies would walk around in the nude to the showers, and also nude in the sauna.
Meanwhile in the male sauna, most guys would place their towel on their lap and sit bareback on the hot wooden bench (ouch!), thereby allowing sweat to drip all over. In fact, it is disgusting that certain people wipe off their sweat and sprinkle them over the bench and the hot stone heater. Yuks! No wonder the sauna smells bad!
Sometimes, people would go in wearing undies. Puhlezzz!!! Can you imagine the smell of dirty underwear and sweat in a hot and humid environment?? Occasionally, there are people who went inside the sauna fully clothed .... with socks and shoes even!
And I just don't get it. Guys in general are just so shy to go nude even in places that you're supposed to be nude! Even the girls are more liberal in their locker/changing room.
Loosen up! Let's drop our towels and lay it across the bench where it should be! Be comfortable with ourselves!

Soap Opera
Lately I haven't been getting enough doses of drama. What to do? No more jam, so cannot drama anymore. But in the past week, there were plenty of all sorts of drama playing up in the country.... opposition parties taking over five states, the downfall of Sam V and a few others, the Silver state's MB swearing in fiasco, the MB drama in Perlis, talks about ppl demanding certain politicans to step down, the Pearl Island's CM abolishing the NEP and the recent street demonstration against the abolishment. So much to read on the internet, thousands of analyses (yes, suddenly everybody has something to say), that I totally abandoned my own blog. Where got time to blog? So many juicy developments every hour, so many articles to read. I've somewhat become addicted to the local political drama!!!
But this post is not about the current soap opera in the country. I am reminded of my favourite TV soaps in the past.
The Early Years
I remember watching episodes of Dallas on TV1 (yes, it was the only TV channel back then), following Sue Ellen's predicament until the Who Killed J.R? episode.
Catfights
Then, much later, I got totally addicted to Dynasty. I loved the catfights between Krystle and Alexis, and sometimes Sammy Jo, and Sable. Ahh... Sable is my Idol! And I absolutely loved the bitchiness of it all! So much drama, so diva!!! SRP and SPM exam also have to watch. Cannot miss! Luckily I didn't fail my exams. At that time, there were three other soapies shown on TV (yes, it was soapies era!) such as Falcon Crest, Knots Landings and The Colbys (which was a spin-off from Dynasty).
Cutey Priestley
That was about time when Beverly Hills 90210 made its debut on Malaysian TV. I got hooked again, of course, but for a different reason: Jason Priestley. Yeah, I was just crazy over him. I bought magazines and cut out his pictures and posters and hung them up in my room. Now I wonder what my family thought of it at that time.... (shy)
The Ultimate Bitch
I didn't get too addicted to 90210 though, but things got heated up in Melrose Place. As I was away staying in a residential college then, I had limited access to TV. But I would go at great lengths to ensure that I get my weekly dose of Melrose. If some one is watching something else in the common room, I would beg my friends with TV to let me watch in their rooms. Dun care. Must watch!!! Again, exam also must watch! Everytime, after each episode, I get "high". Like a drug. I love the bitch Amanda Woodward (played by Heather Locklear), and the crazy mental case Dr Kimberly Shaw (played by Marcia Cross). Then there's also Models Inc, which is a spin-off from Melrose. Melrose, by the way was a spin-off from 90210. Get it???

Election Fever
Damn! Apparently, the old joker Gerakan president was at my condo for an election ceramah on Thursday. His son is contesting at the Batu Parliamentary seat, so he was there to lend his support. Yes, we always catch a glimpse of his antics on TV, but it would have been great to see him speak in person, live. Where was I? I was in Singapore la.... for work, and as usual I would pay customary visit to OneSeven, since Towelclub is now closed. It was crowded in the dimly lit maze. Unlike MY and TH, SG guys are not shy at all; they walk around with pride and don't cover themselves, they moan out loud unashamedly (which sets the mood), plus the maze area isn't exactly pitch dark.... which is good for free live show. A couple of guys seems to sniffing something, ... what do they call it? Amyl nitrite? It smelt like somekind of chlorox detergent... hmmm... sorry, i've digressed.
Now, where was I? Oh yes, elections.... today, it was the opposition candidate who made his rounds. Got nothing to do, so go and listen lor.
I've pretty much made up my mind who I'm going to vote for, although I'm not voting in Batu. I'd like to urge my fellow friends to seriously exercise their rights and responsibility as a citizen to vote. If it's too late for you to vote because you hadn't bothered to register, then make sure you register yourself for the elections after this one. If you think the current government is doing a great job, then vote for it as a sign of encouragement. If you think that things are not right about the way your neighbourhood, your state or this country is being handled and managed, and you want change, then vote for the opposition, or the best man to do the job. If you are not bothered to vote, then don't ever complain about the economy, about rising prices, about corruption or lost opportunities or discrimination etc etc because you have essentially no right to complain because you didn't exercise your rights to vote.
